1770 FESTIVAL SURVEY
The 1770 Festival Committee starts the planning process for the 2009
Festival at the end of next month. In order to have some feedback
from the community, we have placed a Survey Report Page on the this
website. We encourage everyone to please download and fill out this
single page Survey. Please place the completed Survey in the Survey
Box at the Visitor
Information Centre. Blank forms will also be available from Charmaine
Eyre-Thompson the Festival Co-ordinator at the VIC.
This is your chance to become involved with the initial planning of
the 1770 Festival. The information that you give us via the Survey
will help us prepare a great Festival next year.
FESTIVAL ATTRACTS OVERSEAS ARTIST
Our headline artist for the 1770 Festival is Lisa Hunt
and her 5 piece band. Lisa is all the way from the USA and she will
bring you a night of Soul... Watch this space for news and events concerning
the 1770 Festival.

The 44 metre Brigantine “Young Endeavour”
is on its way to 1770 to
help us celebrate the 1770 Festival! It will be anchoring in Bustard
Bay early on Saturday morning 24th May, exactly 238 years after
Lieutenant Cook anchored here. “We’re extremely happy to
provide
support for the 1770 Festival” said Lieutenant Commander Gavin
Dawe,
Captain of the Young Endeavour.
